Squeaks and chirps

brian, you misunderstood me.  i agree wholeheartedly w/ your diagnosis.
experienced it on my 92 saab 900t convertible last summer.  had to remove
the whole clutch assembly just to get to a $20 bearing and ended up
replacing everything while i had 'em out.  i was really questioning the
owners observations.  the squeal s/b noticeable during idle after a long hi
speed drive.

ill be very surprized if im wrong. when you touch the
clutch pedal and it stops, there are no other moving
parts that the pedal controls.
