Blowin' Fuses

Hello all,

I lost my heater blower motor yesterday morning on the way to work...it was
very cold outside...single digits. When I got home from work I popped the hood
on my 84ksq, checked the fuse box, and found that the #17 (30A)fuse had blown.
I replaced the fuse, turned the car on, and tested the blower motor...and it
worked fine at all speeds. I was somewhat concerned due to the fact I really
didn't know what caused the fuse to blow. I got into the car this morning,
started the engine, turned on the blower (lowest speed), and it worked...for
about five seconds before blowing another fuse (I suspect)! Does anyone have
an idea as to what could be causing this fuse to blow? The fan has been
running perfectly, and quietly since I've had the car. Do blower motors
suddenly sieze and go into over-current in cold weather? Any clues would be
appreciated. TIA

Regards,

George B.
