Sean,
To answer your question, you will have to flare the rear fenders in
order for the wheels to fit, especially if you go with 17x8 wheels.

When going with wheels 7 inches or wider, you will have to be careful
that (1) you have clearance in the front at the steering knuckle and
(2) you have clearance in the rear wheel wells.

If you drop the car 30mm, you will have even less clearance in the
rear.

As for offsets, you will have to go with less offset in order to
clear the wheels in the front and then you will run into clearance
problems with the rear fenders. The fix for that is to flare the rears.

I think you'll need an ET35 offset or less in order to fit these wheels
on a 5ktq/200q.

Don't ask me why, but the front suspension and steering pieces in
the UFO equipped 200q20v are not a problem even using 17x7.5 ET45 S4
Avus wheels. The wheels clear the rotors by a fairly large margin
(more than a thick finger's width) and the center hub mount of the
wheel easily clears the "hump" of the UFO rotor housing- that was a big
concern of mine until I fitted the wheels.

Now I need to get a set of 17x8 Oettinger RE or AZEV Type A as a second
set and I'll be very happy. :-)
