Have you tried the Anderson brothers? (Karsquattro.com)  For the price you 
want to pay you are most likely looking for a project car.  Several years ago 
they has a decent 83 ur Q with a new engine they kept reducing from 6K to 5 K 
to less than 4K.  It needed some work but it was a good solid car.  I think 
they try to stay with the higher end cars but they probably know where more 
of these cars are than anyone else that I know of.
