Doyt,
While the eurolights definitely get degraded by the coating of crud
that comes with driving in snowy, salty conditions, there are far, far
better than the DOT lights. In foggy and heavy rain conditions, I can
definitely see a significant difference.
One thing that may help- do this at your own risk, as I don't know
whether it can overtax your stock wiring (probably does). I have
replaced the stock 5W bulbs in the parking lamps with 21W brake light
bulbs, which has resulted in much, much better lighting on the road.
The lights do not look glaringly bright when looking at the lights, but
when you're behind the wheel, you can definitely see a difference.
I think the 9007 conversion along with 21W parking lights would do the
trick. I learned this trick from the shop where I bought my 200q.
Considering that the shop owner is very meticulous and seems to really
know his stuff, I don't think it is a problem to run them.
Fog and/or driving lights will give you the greatest improvement.
