Been thinking about that for my 80, but I came up with one problem: the
washers catch a lot of crud out there on the front of the bumpers, and
(judging from the 80 being my third Audi with only one functioning washer)
Audi washer nozzles tend to clog up easily. Those OE headlight washers look
more like fire hydrants than windscreen washer nozzles, and there's a lot
of pressure needed. The hose leading to those washers looks like reinforced
garden hose (about 15 mm in diameter) and that pump is huge.
I don't think regular nozzles and washer hose will be up to the job, unless
you install V8 (or Saab?) headlight wipers, too.

I like Pantelis' idea for heating the washer hose by wrapping it around
coolant hoses. That's what I'm gonna do with my 90 when it's resurrected.
