Audi 5K piston question

Hi All! As some of you know, I have a Porsche 924. When looking at the specs,
I see that some Audi's use the same bore and stroke as me (86.5x85.4mm) I
also know that there was a 92.3mm crank offered at some point. Im currently
rebuilding a spare Euro motor I had in wait. Before I spend $500 to get the
crank knife-edged, I wanna see if there is a way I can make a DIY stroker
kit. I was thinking if all is true with the above info, and the 92.3mm 5K's
dont have a taller deck, then the pistons they use must have the wristpin
moved up to accomodate the added stroke, right? If so, why couldnt I use a
set of (4) 5K pistons (for the 92.3mm stroke) with my rods, and my crank,
welded-up and turned down for a 92.3mm stroke? It would yield me 2194cc total
displacement, from my stock 1984cc. I know the piston speeds would go up a
tad, as would the thrust-angle of the rods increase, but its a race car, and
I dont think it would be that bad. A "real" stroker kit is about $1300 these
days...Im trying to beat the cost a tad. Thanks for any replies to this odd
request.

Jay
