Well back in Aug I had lots of leaks in my power steering and instead of
spending 15$ a quart for pentosin, I used generic mineral oil from the
supermarket. At $1.79 a pt it was ALOT cheaper to keep putting this in till
i fixed my leaks. I have since had no other problems with leaks or anything
else for that matter. I have however discovered WHY you should run pentosin
vs the generic mineral oil. When it gets to 30 degress or so outside the
viscosity of the generic oil is much higher and is making the steering stiff
untill the car warms up. So I will be changing back to Pentosin. Those of
you living where it never gets that cold or need a temporary fix, it seemed
to work fine for me.
