The '86 4kq parts car I keep for my wife's '86 4kq (both available for
purchase if anyone's interested) has been sitting since the snow went away
last spring. I aired up the tires yesterday and tried to start it so I
could move it. Cranked, but no start. Couldn't hear the fuel pump, and
hadn't heard it when I first turned the key. I crawled part way under the
car (those darned little wheels won't let my belly past the rocker panels)
and whacked the pump/filter/brace and everything else in the neighborhood
with a stick several times. When I tried to start it again, it roared to
life. Just an anecdotal suggestion.
