Thinking of the ur-quattro:

The WR brake pressure regulator - got an extra sensor. The MB's oil
cooler - went back to separate unions. Cam cover gasket - went from
cork to neoprene with shouldered studs. Window regulator - reduced
motor size to reduce once of the angles the wire bends through.
Right engine mount heatshield - spares are now properly rustproofed.
Bushes under oil cooler got integrated metal shields to protect them
from the heat. Knock sensors and crank position sensors now have
gold-plated contacts - make sure you change the other connector.
Nuts on turbo to downpipe flange reduced in external size so wrenches
are easier to fit. Injector seals now all Viton.
