May I ask who contacted Quaife with concerns stemming from my original
post to this listserv? May I also note that for some reason my email
address and name were given to them. I don't particularly like this being
done. I received a nasty letter from Quaife America saying I made libelous
statement against there company. Of course the fellow who wrote me had no
idea that I had been dooped by a competitor of theirs plus had posed a
question to the list, not a statement on their product.

Certainly not I, and from what you posted on this list nor did you. I
would suggest you copy all the posts on the subject and send them to Quaife
or at least give Quaife the archival address and let them do their own
search. You should also ask Quaife where the libel is and who made such
accusations. I believe you have a right to that information and the right
to tear a strip off of whomever. You publicly posted and asked a fair and
reasonable question on this list.
Now if you had said that Quaife America knowingly sold a defective widget
that was installed in a CGT that caused the crash that killed 5 very small
Q-List members on their way home from the Q-List Detox Clinic, then that
would be considered libelous. Providing of course it is an untrue
statement, not on public record or pending litigation.
