URGENT!!! Please Read - A6 Spring / Shocks Install

My mechanic has just completed installing H&R springs w/ Bilstien shocks.
He called and said the front of the car looks good, the wheels dropped into
the wheelwell, but the rears have ~3.5 - 4 inches from the top of the tire
to the lip of the fender!!??  I'm going to swing up and look at it, but
wanted to see if there are any BTDT out there.  I purchased the springs from
TireRack, and was assured they were for the quattro, but I don't have the
part nubmers handy, and the shocks from Blau.

Any help would be much appreciated.
