I've had a different experince with the wastegate spring. My brother had put
one in, and not only does it let the boost build up quicker, but I know also
get 1.7-1.8 max boost. Dont know why it changes but it does. Anyway the only
other thing he did was to permentantly ground the fuel pump so it doesn't
have the saftey shut-off, but I think he did that for another reason.
Granted this isn't the recommended setup but it works.
The problem with this setup and not modifying the ECU is that at max boost
it doesn't know what to do with the fuel, so it has a slight hesitation to
it, but is barely noticeable.
I believe he got the spring from Blau.
