Hi

I just had an AA test done on the car I just bought, and a couple of things
came up.

All piston's compressions are between 1300 - 1400, I think this is fairly
good?

When shifting from 2-3 it is a bit rough compared to the other shifts (which
all appear fine, both ways) and makes a funny sound ("twink!"). The
technician felt that it's not inside the gearbox, but rather some mounting
bolts somewhere that needs tightening. Does this make sense?

I complained about a vagueness in the steering, and nose-heaviness. All the
steering components, suspension and shocks checked out fine, and the
technician feels that the camber of the wheel alignment needs to be
adjusted, and that will solve the problem. Does this sound correct?

Also the charge rate of the battery is a bit erratic at high revs, one can
see the lights sort of dimming momentarily. This is obviously bad news for
all the electronics, he said it was a diode it the alternator. Is this an
expensive fix?

Regards,
Leon
