porsche question

Just a few questions for you porsche owners.  Will prolly be helping my
stepdad put his 86 944 turbo back together in the next month or so.
Currently the timing is not set in this engine.  Any special tools needed
for this?  I bought him a factory repair manual for the car last year, but i
havent looked at it yet.  I have done the timing belt in my 5ktq so i am
familar with the basics.  Anything else that might be helpful to know when
doing this that isnt in the manual?
