4kq light switch

Hey all,
Last couple of days the light switch is feeling bad on the 4kq (86).
Turns on fine but on turning it off it has a real crunchy feel as if it
doesn't want to return to the off position.
Is there a cure here short of replacement? It would be a shame to replace
the thing after wiring the euros w/ 10ga to save the thing.
