exhaust pressurizing cooling system??????

It probably also doesn't help that I live in New England which is getting
colder and colder lately.. putting a lot more heat stress on the radiator
(cycling from cold to hot very quickly).

Yes, I have the afterrun system hooked up.  It doesn't really run unless you
drive very agressively though.  I wonder if there is a different temp switch
that I could put in there that would make it turn on at a slightly cooler
temperature?

Yup, time for that 4 row aluminum :-)  Seriously though, Nate Stuart had a
fab shop make up a radiator for his Renault Fuego that came out pretty
good... and the price is nice too.. around $150 for a 2 row aluminum jobber.
