cutting up xenons?

I will be able to get the housing, reflector, bulbs, ect from the A6. I
will have everything required to install an A6 xenon projector light onto an
A6. My thought was to take the A6 housings, and modify them to fit on a
4kq, bulbs and all. I realize that putting the bulbs, and ballasts into the
car won't do me a bit of good with my lousy DOT housings.
The eurolight housings with the xenon lights is sounding like a possibility.
Would be neat to cut up the a6 housings and see if I could work them enough
to fit into the spot on the 4kq though... That would be a lot of work. :(

Remember... it's the light LENS and REFLECTOR design that makes the biggest
difference, not the bulb. Just ask anyone that has swapped to E-code
headlights. If you made the Xenon bulb work in your DOT housing, you'd see
better, of course, but you'd blind the hell outta everyone coming at you as
well from the scatter.

My advice? Get the e-code housings. THEN, contact one of these places that
sells the Xenon conversion kits, and see if you can get the adapters so a
Xenon bulb can sit in a H1/H4/H7/H-whatever light socket. THEN you'll be
set, with a minimum of work!
