While replacing my clutch last week, Dad was lining up the engine and tranny
to slide them together. As he turned the flywheel to assist in this, he
noticed a broken tooth on the starter ring gear! That is the nasty little
gremlin that is causing my car to stumble. The ECU counts the number of
teeth on the fly wheel and makes adjustments in timing and other conditions
based on that count. SOOO thats why I have a stumbling problem.
Unfortunately I now have to pull the whole tranny out AGAIN to replace as i
didnt have access to a ringgear that day :(

If anyone has a ringgear for 5ktq (MC eng) please get back to me.

Rob
