timing jumped...

Cruising along in my 87 CS turbo...thump, thump and the car died. The
hydraulic belt tore and wound around the crank pulley. I replaced the pulley
belts...the engine turned over but sounded different. Checked the timing
marks...uh oh. The timing belt is fine (changed at 130,000) but the torn
hydraulic belt seems to have made the timing jump and now I need a valve
job...no compression. The engine has 166,000 easy miles. I don't have a
Bentley and I'm a wannbe monkey lad so any BTDT is appreciated. I learned
from the list that this is an interference engine and I can have the machine
shop use Quantum valves...with new head bolts 049 103 384 B. I have too many
offerings in this motor to stop now. Respectfully, Larry
