How about an UrQ in One Lap of America?

Hi Todd and Tucker!

The sedan has better aerodynamics, but the Avant would be even more of a
head-turner!
(I think of the Volvo station wagons that were raced in the British
Touringcar Championship.)

Audis have quite a history of wins (Cars prepared and driven by Audi in
the beginning of the quattro era!) and good places, but AFAIK most of
them were Type44 (5000).
I think this is due to the fact of better aerodynamics (wall against
piece of soap) and larger stance and wheel base?
Anyway, an Urq would be smashing!

Yeah! When you do it, tell us! I think we will all pray for rain! ;)

BTW: Some years ago, there was a page dedicated to a Type44 converted
for the "One Lap of America". The page was not updated, no emails were
answered and now the page is gone!
The address was
://weber.u.washington.edu/~quattro/index.htm
And the mail was quattro at u.washington.edu
If you remember it, _please_ tell me. On the page you would see some of
the bodywork done (fenders and stuff) and the new brakes and the new
coil overs. Everything looked "mighty fine" and professionally done. I
really would appreciate _any_ input on this.
