Give up, but I bet it's safe. An awful lot of things (such as the
wrong exhaust jointing paste) can kill OXS sensors, but since they're
used in just about every car on the road right now, most of the stuff
you can buy today is OXS sensor friendly. The danger is in that tub
of stuff up on the shelf that's been there a few years.
A leak your size would give other symptoms - traces of white smoke
and/or an acrid smell from the exhaust. Burning coolant is quite
unmistakable.
