No such need to shim your lifters. You have hydraulic lifters that "self
adjust" all by themselves. Just make sure you keep track of where, and how,
all of the cam caps are bolted down. Also mark your cam belt and make sure
it doesn't move off of the lower pulley and you should be all set. I never
actually had to remove the cam, just tilt it forward enough to get the front
two lifters in/out. All in all it's a pretty straightforward job. Did it on
a 4kq in ~30-40min. You'll have some more peripherals to mess with (not to
mention the two fuel lines to the WUR).
