Everyone on this list owes it to themselves, especially if you THINK
you're a good driver, to slide around an empty parking lot covered in a
few inches of snow (any such slippery surface would do, although I'd
check ice depth before trying it on a frozen lake)  with their Quattro. 
It's a definite eye opener, especially while turning into the skid and
trying to accelerate out, which works so well if you're used to the FWD
44 models....  
When I aquired the '90 200TQA I tried the slide manuevers I had pretty
much hammered down in the V8Q, only to come to the realization that if I
followed the same procedures in this car that I did in the V8Q in a
real-world situation, either I or the car wouldn't be going home.  
It helps to put out some traffic cones and pretend they are the
curb/guardrail/tree/school bus stop.
