Advanced?

In what respect?  The USA is between five and fifteen years behind
Europe in the adoption of most major technologies, and falling behind at
a rate of about one year every three.  I know this - it's my business.

Environmentally aware?  The USA!? GMAB!

Try Sweden.  Or Switzerland.

Over-legislated?

The opposite is true, although the USA is indeed over-lawyered.  But try
selling any device that uses electricity in Europe without a CE mark -
ask a US manufacturer who's trying to market over here.
