I've seen several versions of this now.  The football bit is good here -
another version requires the colonists to re-learn cricket.  Also one
of my versions excludes New Jersey, for arguably better reasons than the
exclusion of Utah.  It also makes the point about back taxes since
1776 and requires Meg Ryan to report to Prince Andrew.
