Definition of 44

Hi Peter!

It is the third generation (C3) of Audi's upper middle class as it is
called.
Type44 is just a lable to include all the different cars that are more
or less the same underneath.

BTW: Is it right that the first Audi V8s were called Type44, too?
And are they called D1 or D11? Both names seem to exist!
