How Many '97 A8's were produced?

The guy I bought my 91 200qAvant from back in August paid 27k for his 97 A8
then. It had 60k on it and someone had "keyed" the paint all the way around.
He didn't care, bought it anyway and has no plans to fix it. That's about the
lowest price I've seen for one so far. There have been a few on EBay recently,
but I didn't pay attention to the final prices. Tom.
