Chris,

That is what I plan to do.  I won't play the "if it don't budge force it"
game.  This should unbolt cleanly and I can, put on a large eye conector
crimped onto 8 or 10 Guage wire.

Otherwise I will take the alternator feed and do basically the same thing.

Regarding the crimp on connector, if it works in a marine environment, it'll
work fine in an automotive environment - BTDT.  just will use Brass with
none of that plastic covering bs.

How are you going to do that?  That is, how are you going to connect the 10 
ga wire to the post?  Does the post unbolt?  Are you going to use a really 
big crimp-on terminal?

I just can't see how to mechanically connect the wire to the post.  Maybe 
I'm missing something.
