You take the drum out, the bearings fall out, you use the new ones on
reassembly. If you want to install new races be prepared to pound away
with a braa drift or something. I wouldn't worry about them, though.
the outer bearing is held in by the axle nut, the inner rides on the
axles inboard of the drum. While you're at it why not spend $50 and
completely rebuild the rear brakes? (excluding drums)
