Turbo bypass valve

I am going to replace the distributor because it is definately leaking,  then try
a few things including your suggestion before I really start to tear things
apart..   I am fairly confident the bypass valve install is OK.  The car ran for
a few days after the installation without problems.  The car is actually burning
oil at idle.  Very bad.  I don't even have to leave the driveway.  I hear a lot
about intake side seals going on the Turbo.  How about the exhaust side?
