the new a4. no "q" yet....

the plaudits for the new a4 continue.

"car" compared the tdi with the bmw 3-series and m-b oil burners.  bmw 3rd,
mb 2nd and audi 1st easily.
"evo" calls the a4 3.0fwd "the best audi ever"?!??!?.

interesting that i have not yet seen anything on the "quattro" to be used in
the new a4.  certainly none of the tests so far have been with a quattro,
and none of audi's press material references it.  i wonder if this heralds a
new quattro technology generation?  if the torsen is to disappear, i would
guess that the haldex would take its place.  has anyone heard anything?
