I agree with Huw. I adjust mine so that I can see a car that is at my
rear quarter -- the blind spot. I can't see any of my car without
craning my neck.  If I look in the mirror and see something, I don't 
change lanes. Driving around Boston, it's too easy to play bumper 
cars.
