A4 Winter Driving Question

I would use EXTREME caution. The problem is not the starting, it's the
staying (on the road!). Compounds of summer sport tires are not able to
act as rubber much below 40 degrees F. This is known as the glassing
temp. If possible, if precip is on or sticking to the ground, delay
travel (or slow WAY down), until it clears. Otherwise you'll risk sliding
off of the road. I have noticed my Kumho's are acting more like O-rings
than tires in the latest cold snap. Switching to snows this weekend.
Enjoy the Turkey Day!
