Actually Checker has this same part and thermostat for like 10.00 or 12.00.  
Be careful though because the stock opening temperature for a 4000 CS quattro 
is 190F while the thermostat repackaged as Stan opens at 176F.  Great for hot 
climates but not so good for cold climates.
