coolant on the floor. Need help.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Yesterday night steam filled the car and I found coolant on the floor.
I hoped that hoses to/from heater just came off but today I found them
attached and not broken. 
And it seems to me that if even hose(s) come off coolant should not
drip  inside. Am I right? What might leak except heater core? Any
plastic joints?
Everything looked as hose broke: no leak and then flood. I thought that
if core leaks it does it gradually, increasing little by little.  

Any ideas?
