The wastegate mod will make a noticeable difference, but you're probably 
staying under 1.6 bar which actually a decent amount. Especially on a ur-q 
the added boost might give you 20 extra hp.

One thing about the ECU's is they start retarding timing quite a bit beyond 
a certain boost level. I don't know what boost level that occurs, but 
retarded timing is hard on exhaust/turbo. Also I think some ECU's try to 
set boost to the preset 1.4 bar when the WOT switch is on, so it could 
reduce the boost under that condition, unless the ECU is showing lower boost.

just curious, what is your max. boost levels on the gauge now?
