Torque Values

Its true that a lubricated threaded assembly requires less torque
(typically about 50% less) than a dry joint to reach the same clamping
load in the bolt. I've used this relationship with bolts
assembled into nuts or into threaded castings or housings. I've only
ever applied the reduction to systems where I added the lubricant, not
to plated systems.
One of my long-standing questions is whether the torque spec for the
spark plugs applies to installations using anti-sieze (which would
have some lurication effect) or dry.
