Towing, anyone?

Test drove a 96 A^ Avant this weekend, along with a new 4-motion Passat
wagon.  Very Nice.  Interestingly, the Passat had more pickup- closer gear
ratioos in the tiptronic than the regular slushbox, I expect..

Anyhow:  What's the towing capacity (if any) on these cars?  How about on
the 89-91 100s and 200s?

As much as my wife and I liked the cars this weekend, we can't spend $20k
on a car right now so will likely go to an older one for a while and move
to one of those a few years down the road..
