200T Auto troubles

Hello all,

The auto box on my '90 200T is acting up.  Based on the archives, I
realize I am not the first person with 3 spd tranny issues.  It won't
shift any gears until it is warmed up; maybe 3 miles or 5 minutes
idling.  Then when it is shifting there is excessive slippage during
shifts but not once in any gear.  Any ideas before I talk with a
mechanic?
