FS: SAE Motorsports Technology Collection - 1997 edition

This is a CD-ROM collection of SAE papers on high performance motor
vehicle technology plus a search and display program called SAE MOVE
for access. It contains hundreds of full text papers from the SAE
Motorsport Conferences from 1970 through the edition year.

If you can't jump there directly, start at http://www.sae.org and select
Web/CD Products under the Tech Info pop-down. Scroll down to the
Motorsports catagory.

Most of the papers are pretty dry and technical and would mostly be of
interest to race car developers (engineer types) and the nerdiest gear heads.
There are no papers on choosing the best wheel/tire combo for your Audi.
Titles are more like "An Investigation of Passenger Car Tire Properties at
High Slip and Camber Angles."  I've just upgraded to the 2000 edition
which, you will notice, is priced at $350. If anyone would like to slake
his or her curiosity about this series without having to sell the farm, I'm
selling my 1997 edition for $100. It comes with both DOS (5.0 and up)
and Windows (3.1 and up) search programs. You'll need a 386 PC
or better with a CD-ROM drive.
