A6 2.7TQ impressions

Ti:

I completely agree. I love the time spent in my urq's, but take the step to
a '91 200q and then on to the urS4 and the step size of each level of
construction engineering and performance is considerable. Having spent
plenty of time in the urS4, I can profess a great affinity for the car. That
being said, the A6 2.7t is a major step up in refinement, construction AND
performance, if you consider the whole bag of what total performance is all
about. No question that it is a superior car to the urS4. But taste is
taste. Of course, I'm buying a 340 hp RS2, S8 braked urS4 solely because I
can't afford the 2.7t SIX SPEED on my car allowance. But, if I sell a urq,
maybe... The weak link in the A6 2.7t is still the tires, though. They
would be gone in a flash.

BTW, don't forget that another (old) comparison of auto vs. stick Audis has
to consider the deplorable 3 speed 200 turbo automatic vs. any of the
5-speed 200's. Hard to believe they looked so much alike and were such
different beasts.
