Gotcha beat, not on an Audi tho.

When I was a teenager, I rebuilt an engine (the good one, the 2 liter found
in the Capris) in a Drof Pinto on the cheap.  Ran outta money at the end, so
I used the old oil pressure sending unit from the old engine.

Big mistake.  Three months later it failed where the union of plastic and
aluminum cracked, and the new high volume oil pump happily pumped all the
oil out of the block.

That was an expen$ive lesson.

MAC: when doing eurolight exploratory surgery on the kitchen table at night,
you can be sure that your kids will find alternative uses for your tools in
the morning if you don't put them away...
