Was your car bought new? If not, then this was a P.O. mod. Not one of the better ones, IMHO.

just been to check..both light up. But, on closer
inspection, the wires to the OS one are part of the
car loom while the the wiring to the NS one is done in
household 3 core flex. I suppose Audi must have run
out of proper car wire.
