I went with a friend of mine to pick up his new 2001 Jetta GLX, with the
VR6.  Nice car, BTW.

The car comes with a 2 year / 24,000 mile bumper-to-bumper, 10 year /
100,000 mile powertrain warranty.  What knocked me over was that he got an
extended 10 year / 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper for $1,400.  And VW also
gave him free lifetime oil changes.
