Yeah, that's mostly been my experience when I've
"encountered" it.  But it does have it's uses.  My dad
used it alot.  He was a machinist for a steel co. and
they had some machines older than him.  It is great
stuff if the bolt hole or threads are somewhat
buggered and you can't reasonably repair them.  Or big
vibration or heat, like on a hammer forge.  But his
bolts were (mostly) big stuff and all Grade 8.  I'd
really BE SURE if I used it.  Heck, blue is tough if
you do it right.  Blue=lockwasher; Red=safety wire.
