My handles broke on my '89 16v Jetta (VIN WVW... meaning Wolfsburg
plant) when I lived in Florida. I went to a "U-PULL-IT" and picked up, or
rather stuffed'em down my pants, a couple of handles from a 86 Jetta (VIN
3VW... meaning Pueblo I think) and they didn't fit right. Serves me right
for taking the time to get them for free. As it turned out, the finger
attatched to the "trigger", was to short, and the V shaped lock thingy stuck
out from the handle to far.
Point? I managed to make them fit after I picked up about four more
from various other places and used parts from each of them to make one good
set.
ALTHOUGH, I have had good dealings with Rocky Mountain Motorworks
and their operators do sometimes generally seem (Triple uncertainty?)
knowledgable..... I think. So you may be able to get the right
ones without hassle. (or a greasy crotch)
