'89 200-"bucking" turbo?

Glad to hear your girlfriend's not average!

I'm guessing it's a combo of problems, like o2 sensor, old throttle switch, 
etc.  If you haven't already, check out SJM's website--I use it to instruct 
(and annoy) my wrench on likely problems.
