So, one of the better known(and early) Audi-in-movies entry...The
Living Daylights features a 200 quattro used as a getaway car,
picking up some russian general(who manages to comfortably fit in the
trunk :-)

Anyway, the car is quite a puzzle.

The trunk has the 5000-style middle button, and the lettering on the
trunk says "200 quattro" and the tags are the older plastic "fat"
letter style

-Front bumper is euro style, as are headlights(no parking light
segments, and euro turn signals/fogs)

-door handles are not flush, but the wheel wells are flared

-rims are the 15x7.5's(very wide machined lip is very clearly there),
possibly 16 inch rims, hard to tell

-movie was produced in 1987, well before the type 44 saw the 20v
engine, well before the 20v engine saw anything, for that matter, and
well before (I had thought) the flared wheelwell type 44.

Seems to be the oddest mix of all the type 44's...can any euro
listers lend any insight?

My only thought was that this was the same as the talledega(sp?) car,
which had flared wheel wells.

What's even stranger is that there are 100's out there with flared
wheel wells and stuff(I've seen the pics)...100 "sport" models, I
think they're called...
