If you keep making copies of copies of copies ... (you get my drift),
the tolerances add up. It's not a bad idea to put your original keys
aside and use them only to make copies from.

Another thing to consider: if you have a key cut by code, in some
states you have to show the locksmith the title to the car to prove
that you're on the up and up.
